Company president James B Ovens founded Vector Systems in 1987 following a successful career in a variety of roles in process control manufacturing. From innovative design to procurement, bidding and documentation, over the years Ovens developed a set of industry-leading processes and best practices that are a hallmark of Vector quality to this day. His experience includes successful commissioning of systems for such harsh and remote locations as the Alaskan North Slope and the jungles of Asia. His experience includes systems designed for Class I, Division 1 and 2 environments (explosion proof).
Ovens is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served on the USS Nimitz.
